Wilderness Trail Straight Rye Whiskey

Wilderness Trail Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is crafted with a custom mashbill for a broader balance of flavor. The distillery uses a relatively low rye percentage for a rye whiskey and offsets the spice of the rye grain with sweetness from a relatively high percentage of corn. Their rye also enters the barrel among the lowest entry proof they’ve encountered in Kentucky (100-105), highlighting the distillate’s nuance.

Mash bill: 56% Rye, 33% Corn, 11% Malted Barley

NOSE
Sweet baking spices, oak, dark fruits.

TASTE
Clove, white pepper give way to herbaceous bouquet. Candied flowers, spearmint and Earl Grey tea.
